This is a vacant position. Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Maintain and repair all, restaurant and food related equipment, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated controls.
  • Assist licensed trade members in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Department.
  • Be responsible for the condition of assigned area/equipment.
  • May monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems for normal operation.
  • May diagnose and troubleshoot various equipment faults.
  • Have other opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • You!
  • Individuals enrolled in or a graduate from an HVAC related program
  • Candidates that have a natural gas pipe fitter (G3) certification
  • Someone who is mechanically inclined and adept at equipment repair and troubleshooting
  • Individuals who are comfortable with heights and ladder work
  • Candidates that have a valid Ontario’s driver’s license (G/G2) with a clean abstract
  • Individuals that are able to provide their own CSA approved safety footwear
  • People that have an understanding of standard practices, refrigeration and building control systems and relevant codes (an asset)
  • Previous experience with hand power tools and test equipment (an asset)
  • Availability that includes working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays and able to work shifts that start at 6am
