You’ll also…
- Assist the team to implement the concrete block pavement program
- Operate heavy construction equipment (i.e. loader, backhoe, dump truck) and small power tools related to interlocking brick construction (concrete saw, plate tamper)
- Construct new interlocking block pavement including excavation and granular base installation
- Remove and reinstall existing interlocking pavement
- Set-up and utilize standard survey equipment (level and stick or laser) to determine existing surface grades and resulting pavement drainage design
- Assist in soft landscape construction (i.e. grading, top soiling, sodding and planting) and other duties as required

Qualifications:
- You!
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of interlocking concrete block pavements
- Candidates that have a diploma/certificate in landscape construction or related field an asset
- Previous training and experience in the safe operation of small and heavy construction equipment and power tools is an asset
- Working knowledge of pre-cast modular retaining wall products, their application and installation in the landscape
- Individuals that are able to meet the physical requirements of the job including: bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditions
- Candidates with a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstract
- Individuals that are able to provide their own CSA approved safety footwear
- Reliable source of transportation, outside of public transit to account for early shifts
- Availability to work Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
