- Supervise a small landscape team to ensure all daily tasks are completed
- Cultivate, prune, edge, mulch, fertilize, irrigate and plant assorted collections of woody and herbaceous plant material displays (trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials)
- Recognize plant disease/insect problems and implementing appropriate control measures

Qualifications:
- You!
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a landscape environment
- Candidates that have a diploma/certificate in horticulture or related field is an asset
- Certificate of qualification- Horticultural Technician and/or Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician (CNLA) – Landscape Maintenance is an asset
- Candidates with a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstract
- Plant identification skills and knowledge of cultural practices related to maintenance of herbaceous and woody plants an asset
- Familiar with Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the requirements for industrial establishments
- Candidates that are able to meet the physical requirements of the job including: bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditions
- Individuals that are able to drive a small vehicle and have experience in the safe use of small power equipment (hedge trimmer, blower, etc.)
- Individuals that are able to provide their own CSA approved safety footwear
- Availability to work Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm; weekends on shift rotation from 6am until 11am during the contract period
