18+ earns $17.75 / hour, applicants that are 17 years of age earn $17.00 / hour. Candidates must be a minimum age of 17.
This is a contract position that is vacant and starts mid January and goes until April 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs to uniform items including: hemming pants; cresting garments; altering garment sizes; reinforcing seams; and repairs to damaged uniform items.
- Assist with associate uniform fittings
- Perform special sewing projects for park operation such as heavy duty stitching, special design items, and worn material repair
- Perform laundry duties
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous sewing related experience required
- Experience with industrial machines is required (i.e. straight stitch, blind stitch, serger, and walking foot machines)
- Demonstrate a professional manner
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Detail/quality oriented and self-motivated
- Highly organized and flexible
- Able to work 2 shifts per week. Weekends only and flexible to work evenings shifts
- Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
