Winterfest Atmosphere Performer $19/HR

Job Duties:

• • Ability to entertain guests by performing in an ensemble, supporting, non-singing, or mover style role.
  • Ability to sing, act or dance, and demonstrate knowledge of performing in this specialized filed.
  • Attends rehearsals and learns choreography/character work for all shows and performances assigned.
  • Dancers must have the ability to maintain choreography and show integrity throughout the event as set by the Choreographer, Director and Entertainment Management.
  • All performers must have the ability to demonstrate and maintain stage presence as appropriate for a specific stylized show or character.
  • Posing for photos and doing meet and greets with guests.
  • Maintaining assigned costume look and reporting repair needs to the proper personnel. 
  • Additional media appearances may be required on top of regular schedule.

• Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
• Consistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceived
• Remaining in character while "on‑stage” and in view of guests and interacting with guests while performing in a professional and artistic manner
• Providing guest service according to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned your work area and performing all duties in compliance with Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Safety guidelines and requirements, including reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
• Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s attendance policies
• Adhering to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
• Performing other duties as they are assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends, nights, and holidays
• Willingness and ability to wear make-up and costumes for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Lighting is both natural and artificial. Equipment used includes, radios, microphones and cleaning tools. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs. Days and hours will vary and will include weekends, evenings and holidays. Position will require close contact with Park Guests.
