Human Resources Recruiting Supervisor $24/HR

Req ID HUMAN015236This is a part-time position averaging 30-35 hours per week.
Essential Job Duties:
- Travel to venues to present job opportunities to groups of different ages, backgrounds and of varying size for purposes of employment
- Coordinating with local organizations and schools for recruiting events
- Preparing recruitment collateral for presentations and ordering new materials as needed
- Prepare job descriptions, post jobs, and screen applicants for minimum qualifications
- Follow up with groups, programs, park departments, Human Resources on applicant statuses
- Supervise office staff in areas of recruitment
- Work with in-park departments to coordinate involvement in recruitment and retention events
- Scheduling, coordinating and check-in/wrap-up interviews for hourly and Fulltime employment
- Setting up interview space in the location the interview will be held
- Processing newly hired employee’s paperwork and background screening coordination
- On board newly hired and promoted Fulltime Team Members
- Training in-park interviewers on proper interview guidelines and techniques
- Completing Corporate and Park level staffing reports
- Process all EDD claims, employment verifications and attend EDD hearings
- Assist with front office duties
- Other duties as assigned which can include but, is not limited to: harassment/discrimination investigations, responding on behalf of HR in an emergency situation, and give direction to the HR team
Qualities of a Successful Recruitment Supervisor:
- Must possess above average communication skills and feel comfortable speaking in front of groups, departments, etc.
- Must be highly organized
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to cooperate and communicate with team members of different levels of management
- Compliance with Six Flags Policies and Procedures at all times
- Ability to act independently and in a supervisory role
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess above average computer proficiency preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
- Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, and weekends in addition to more than eight hours a day as needed
- Requires continuous sitting or standing, lifting, bending, walking, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech
- Must possess a valid California Drivers License
- Must be 18+
- Must be able to traverse the park property as needed
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs consistently and carry 25lbs a distance of 25 feet.
