Req ID 33700Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is seekinga talented and motivated individual to fill the fulltime position of Operations Manager to lead Aquatics, Park Services, & Front Gate operations. You’lloversee the park’s most visible and guest‑impacting areas, ensuring safe, efficient operations aligned with Six Flags’ expectations for exceptional safety performance, guest service excellence, and associate engagement. You’ll lead large teams, collaborate with park leadership, and directly influence the daily guest experience.
Pay Rate: $75K-$85K
This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations for Aquatics, Park Services, & Front Gate ensuring all attractions open safely, on time, and in alignment with operating procedures.
- Prepare accurate operating plans and budgets for the Admissions, Aquatics, Park Services, and Ride Operations departments.
- Monitors and takes action to ensure operation remains within budgetary guidelines. Analyzes operating reports, adjusting plans to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining operational and performance standards.
- Closely monitors safety initiatives to exceed safety and claims reduction goals.
- Represents Six Flags values and assists other managers in supporting and mentoring team members in an effort to improve productivity and morale, as well as to reduce turnover.
- Supports organization effectiveness initiatives to ensure structure is aligned with strategy, culture, and business objectives.
- Creates and leads operations guest service initiatives to exceed annual guest satisfaction goals by coordinating best practices from each store, as well as industry best practices learned through networking, relationship building, and participation in industry trade associations.
- Assists other managers in building and creating guest service training programs, safety training programs, and audit and inspection programs as needed.
- Assists managers in recruitment and succession planning through training, educational opportunities, and mentoring.
- Coordinate closely with General Manager on cultural change, business planning, and productivity initiatives
- Adheres to and enforces all Six Flags policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates a commitment to guest service in all aspects of employment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of related operational leadership experience, preferably in waterpark/amusement park, hospitality, recreation, or a similar guest‑focusedenvironment
- Required to obtain industry recognized CPO/AFO pool operators’ certificate within 12 months of employmentand Six Flags will fund all required costs for training and obtaining certifications.
- Required to obtain Ellis & Associates Instructor License within 12 months of employment and Six Flags will fund all required costs for training and obtaining certifications.
- Experience in hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provinciallaw.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams with a focus on associate engagement, communication, and accountability
- Strong commitment to safety culture, with experience applying safety protocols, conducting training, or leading emergency responses
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities in high‑volume environments
- Experience managing budgets, planning resources, and supporting operational initiatives
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors across a variety of weather conditions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
