Position Level: Entry level
The landscaper supports the maintenance and beautification of park grounds, including lawns, flowerbeds, and landscaped areas. This role requires operating equipment, performing seasonal work, and ensuring a safe, clean, and guest-friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare lawns for seeding and fertilizing of lawns throughout the park property.
- Prepare flower beds for planting annuals.
- Weed mulch beds
- Applies various pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
- Prune trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Maintain lawns
- Spring and fall cleanup of all landscape
- Snow removal
- Operate various types of equipment such as mowers, edgers, tractors, chain saws etc.
- Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Six Flags attendance requirements as outlined in attendance policies.
- Adheres to Six Flags Rules of Conduct including specific uniform and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 - 5 Years Related Experience in the horticultural field.
- At Least 18 Years of Age.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must join Laborers Union.
- Must be able to follow direction and able to work independently and with others.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
