Workforce Management – Administration Internship (Scheduling & Coordinating)

A Workforce Scheduling & Planning Coordinating Intern plays a key role in supporting daily park operations by managing team member schedules, coordinating staffing needs, and providing administrative support across departments. This position ensures proper coverage for attractions, guest services, entertainment, accommodations, and revenue operations whilemaintainingaccuraterecords and delivering excellent internal customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, seasonal environment anddemonstratesstrong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create,maintain, and update schedules for team members across multiple departments
  • Coordinate staffing levels to meet operational demands,special events, peak attendance days, and seasonal fluctuations while staying within budget
  • Process schedule changes, shift swaps, call-out and coverage requests
  • Communicate schedules, updates, and staffing needs clearly to supervisors and team members
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and union employment guidelines
  • Maintainaccurateteam memberscheduling records and attendance data
  • Enter and update information in workforce management scheduling systems
  • Serve asa central pointof contact forteam membersandleadershipregardingschedules and staffing questions
  • Handle high volumes of phone calls and email inquiries professionally
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently whilemaintainingpositive working relationships
  • Maintain confidentiality ofteam memberand operational information
  • Work closely with WFM team members, Human Resources, and park department leaders
  • Identifyopportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and administrative workflows
  • Assistwithspecial events, extended hours, and seasonal operational planning

Work Environment

  • Office-based within an active amusement park setting
  • Require weekends, holidays, early mornings, and extended hours during peak season

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be attending an accredited college or university
  • Work a minimum of 8 weeks between May 1-August 31
  • Availability requirements:
    • Minimum of 4 days per week of full availability
    • 2 of the 4 days must include either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
  • Work a minimum average of 32 hours per week
  • Attend required professional development events
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
