Responsibilities:
As a Loss Prevention Team Lead at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, you'll play a key role in protecting park assets while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Using Loss Prevention criteria, observe, witness, stop, and investigate offenders in shoplifting, counterfeiting, and ticket scalping incidents at Fiesta Texas.
- Assist Security in the processing of individuals that attempt to enter the park illegally.
- Conduct investigations concerning a wide variety of different malfeasance issues pertaining to Fiesta Texas and their Employees.
- Able to demonstrate effective written and oral communication to offenders, parents, Loss Prevention Management, and Local Law Enforcement
- Organize paperwork and computer data entry as well as interfacing verbally with all Fiesta Texas Employees and Management.
- Oversee the operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Loss Prevention department.
- Conduct or facilitate investigations and investigative interviews of employees who have been shown to be involved in impropriety.
- Converse with numerous employees and guests on various levels while always maintaining composure in potentially stressful situations.
- Interface with minors / adults / local law enforcement and parents relative to internal and external theft issues.
- As needed, coordinate all local law enforcement authorities for the arrest of offenders based on Loss Prevention criteria and provide authorities such photographic evidence and other documentation needed for prosecution of offenders.
- Testify in court as needed concerning internal and external theft incidents.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Comfortable working both alone and in a group setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions to include extreme heat and sun.
- The availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be detail oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter.
- Able to pass a thorough background screen including criminal background and credit history checks.
- Minimum 1 year of investigational interviewing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid State Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Park Driver’s License upon eligibility.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole.
- Reports to the Public Safety Department Leadership.
