Responsibilities:

As a Commissary Team Lead you'll be overseeing a team of line cooks in a central culinary facility to prepare food to be served in multiple restaurants in the park as well as for picnics & special event functions, which consist of group sizes of up to 1000+.

  • Follow recipes for food to be packaged, distributed, and sold in the park.
  • Follow recipes for food to be served at picnics & special event functions.
  • Monitor portion control and waste.
  • Ensure all equipment is being used in a safe and proper manner.
  • Ensure all staff is following safe food handling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout each shift, which includes cleaning equipment, tables, floors, washing dishes, discarding trash, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Address all safety concerns to management ASAP.
  • Knowledge of all emergency procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to speak Spanish is helpful
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to delegate, follow up, and train kitchen staff
  • Must be able to redirect and discipline kitchen staff
  • Must have full availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have the following abilities to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions:
  • Must be able to comprehend and communicate effectively
  • Lifting objects of weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulders, and walking over wet floors
  • Ability to work in a range of varied temperatures
  • Handling cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Problem solving with minimal supervision
  • Ability to solve basic math functions
  • Organizing and prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Offers of employment may be contingent upon passing a drug screening test and/or criminal background check
