You'll also ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests by operating one of our classic Swan Boats and share the history of Storytown USA and Great Escape along the journey.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience
- Engage and interact with guests as they board the boat and along the course of the ride
- Operate motorized boat and equipment as well as using various tools to ensure the Historic River Dee is kept in pristine condition
- Ensure guests are properly seated and safe throughout the journey
- Enforce rider restrictions and measure for height requirements
- Assist guests in and out of ride vehicles and cycle through the line efficiently and cautiously
- Keep ride patios and midways clean and looking great
- Assist with the operation of our other world class rides which includes checking seat belts, lap bars and doors
- Act as a first responder to ride emergencies and respond appropriately
- Recite scripted lines and engage with riders in a way that fits the storyline of the attraction
- Work in themed attire and/or costumes
- Assist the Entertainment and Ride Operations Departments as necessary in other areas, including during Fright Fest activities
- Assist other Team Members and Departments to support the resort as a whole
How You Will Do It
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass ride certification tests with 100% accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Friendly, outgoing personality inviting guests to your boarding station
- Positive attitude to make guests excited about their ride
- Comfortable with public speaking / performing in front of guests
- Comfortable using a headset microphone while ensuring the attraction is being operated safely
- Appropriate sense of humor
- Must react well in stressful and emergency situations
- Taking direction from managers and supervisors

Qualifications:
What You Will Need
- Must be 18 years or older
- In rides you must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
