The Systems Administrator will perform a range of technical and operational duties supporting company networks, systems, and end-user computing. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, as well as supporting and coordinating with the helpdesk team to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and Azure AD
- Monitor systems and applications for performance, availability, and security; escalate issues as needed and document resolutions
- Create and maintain documentation including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles
- Support endpoint deployment, imaging, and lifecycle management across the organization
- Assist with user account provisioning, access management, and security compliance tasks
- Coordinate with the helpdesk team on escalated tickets, providing mentorship and technical guidance on complex issues
- Communicate effectively with end users, departmental staff, and external vendors regarding support status and system changes
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, audits, and preventive maintenance routines
- Assist with basic PowerShell scripting for automation of routine administrative tasks
- Support IT operations during peak business periods as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, vocational/technical certification, OR 2+ years of IT experience in a systems administration, helpdesk, or technical support role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- Ability to mentor and support junior IT staff or helpdesk team members
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per
- Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
