Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing inspections and sampling of storm water and wash down runoff water as required to ensure compliance with EPA permit.
- Complete routine checklists and reports for required recordkeeping in compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Coordinate water sample collection and pickup by State certified laboratory for specified testing. Monitor company radio and respond to incidents related to aquatic health and safety concerns.
- Oversees and conducts the maintenance of Oceans of Fun working with all other trades. Resolves problems on own or communicates needs to the appropriate Maintenance Department Manager and/or General Foreperson. Updates Maintenance Manager and/or Director as appropriate.
- Trains, schedules and supervises seasonal Pool Assistants to make sure that a high level of quality service is being offered and that employees are knowledgeable of and proficient in proper procedures. Coaches, counsels and recommends disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Oversees the overall maintenance of Oceans of Fun. Resolves problems on own or communicates needs to the appropriate Maintenance Department General Foreman, Foreman, or Lead. Updates Maintenance Director as appropriate.
- Completes all related documentation in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e., records, reports, logs).

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good knowledge of applicable health codes and the proper procedures for the safe storage, handling and use of pool chemicals.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Related degree or vocational training preferred.
License or Certification: Valid driver’s license. American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification is highly preferred. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or acquired within 6-12 months of employment. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade
Experience: Typically requires 5-7 of pool maintenance and water treatment experience.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.
