Resort Restaurant Expeditors at Six Flags Great Adventure will ensure the smooth and timely flow of orders from waiters to the kitchen, check dishes for accuracy and presentation, and assist in final dish preparation while maintaining compliance of all policies and procedures to achieve outstanding Guest Service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff.
  • Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
  • Handle complaints from guests to preserve the restaurant's reputation.
  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen.
  • Ensure that the Guest experience is met with Friendly, Speedy and Accurate service, while resolving issues when necessary.
  • Comply with all Six Flags policies at all times.

Skills And Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication skills and experience in a restaurant setting.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be willing to work 40-60 hours per week, including before and after scheduled shifts if necessary and on weekends and holidays. Shifts to include early mornings to late nights.
  • Must be professional, outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude.
  • Perfect grooming and conduct must be constantly displayed.
  • Proven experience as a food expeditor or other restaurant position.
  • Well-organized with the ability to lead and direct others. 
  • A customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to remain calm and take on various tasks.
  • Knowledge of sanitation regulations and OSHA requirements.
  • Active Servsafe Certification preferred.
  • Culinary school diploma a plus.
  • Must be willing to change locations when requested by Fulltime Staff.

Employment within the Food and Beverage Operations Department is reliant on receiving passing scores on the ServSafe Food Handler Certification. All certification classes are supplied by the park.
