- Research, review and analyze bids as requested by departments.
- Negotiates and oversees truck and equipment rentals and local services for the park.
- Coordinates orders with requisitioning department and vendor to ensure correct items/service and on-time delivery.
- Assists Accounts Payable in receiving Maximo Purchase Orders.
- Communicates with manager, director, departments and individuals (both internal and external), as appropriate, to coordinate specific services/deliveries details essential to completion and success of operations and promotions.
- Responsible for ensuring that certificates of insurance from vendors are up to date with appropriate limits of liability.
- Able to work in a Unionized environment including understanding and following all collective bargaining rules and regulations
- Organize work flow and be flexible in prioritizing tasks for warehouse personnel
- Enforce all Six Flags Park policies and procedures.
- Conceptualize and implement plans for effective use of all warehouse areas as well as storage areas within the park
- Work warehouse floor, assigning tasks and supervising employee performance
- Responsible for monitoring equipment and facilities to insure proper maintenance. Report problems in a timely basis and follow up on resolving issues
- Establish working relationships with employees, management, other departments, vendors and freight carriers
- Responsible for all general receiving and tracking, sorting and issuing for the entire park.
- Oversee the timely delivery of Food, Games and Merchandise stand transfers
- Inspect location daily for compliance with Health Department standards and safety policy
- Responsible for weekly and monthly physical counts, prepare and submit reports to Finance
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing or leadership position.
- Working knowledge of Maximo, Eatec and Aptos preferred, but not required.
- Skilled with applicable software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong computer, analytic and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with computer as well as manual paper functions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with awareness of deadlines.
- Ability to learn new programs is required.
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement and to recommend improvements.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
