The Workforce Management Intern supports scheduling and staffing by aligning employee schedules with forecasted demand and service needs. This role assists with real-time monitoring, time-off management, and reporting using workforce management systems. The intern analyzes workforce data and collaborates with leaders to support staffing decisions and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and implement employee schedules that align with forecasted demand while considering employee availability, skills, and labor cost constraints.
- Manage time-off requests, leave of absences, and scheduling exceptions.
- Monitor real-time adherence to schedules and adjust as needed to maintain service levels.
- Analyze historical data to predict future staffing requirements based on business demands, seasonal fluctuations, and market trends.
- Develop and maintain accurate staffing models to inform staffing decisions.
- Create capacity plans to ensure adequate staffing levels across different operational areas.
- Proficiently use workforce management software to manage schedules, track employee data, and generate reports.
- Stay updated on system upgrades and functionalities to optimize usage.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing requirements and address operational challenges.
- Communicate scheduling updates and changes effectively to employees.
- Partner with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Conduct time studies, track, report, and analyze data to improve efficiency and increase guest satisfaction
- Complete all requirements of the internship program
Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: 18
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Statistics, HR Management, Operations Management, or Data Analytics
- Must have flexible availability including weekends, weeknights, and holidays
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
- Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak and understand the English language.
- Experience in forecasting, scheduling, and capacity planning
- Expertise in workforce management software applications.
