Req ID MECHA013363JOB PURPOSE:Operate all heavy equipment, including snow removal.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Dig ditches, install pipes and repair blacktop.
- Move buildings, bleachers and stages.
- Operate all heavy equipment owned by park in a safe efficient manner.
- Work with other facilities supervisors to accommodate their needs.
- To keep all work areas clean, safe and in a professional manner.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs repeatedly, work outside in the elements and lift 50 pounds without injury. If prosthesis is needed to meet these requirements, it must be used while on duty.
- Possess 20/20 corrected vision. Corrective lenses, if required, must be worn on duty.
- Possess normal or average corrected hearing (defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500hz - 4000hz considered normal speech frequency range) If corrective device is worn, it must be worn while on duty.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver's License and all appropriate certifications for heavy equipment being operated.
- Must be able to fulfill requirements for and obtain a Darien Lake Driver's License.
- Maintain equipment as far as inspection, lubrication, washing, etc...
- Must be available to work Monday through Sunday.
- Must be available to work all shifts whether they are morning, afternoon or evening hours.
- All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances dictate.
- LCD required
- Valid NYS Drivers License required
- Must know grading, how to operate a backhoe, dozer and a truck (class 3 license not required)
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime
- Must have the ability to use those skills to insure the safe operation of rides and attractions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
