Req ID 31434Six Flags Darien Lake is seeking a skilled and motivated Seasonal HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout the park, water park, lodging facilities, restaurants, retail locations, and administrative buildings. This role ensures a safe, comfortable environment for guests and team members by maintaining equipment reliability and responding promptly to service requests.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, exhaust fans, and refrigeration units.
Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
Recharge refrigerant systems and check for leaks in compliance with EPA regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service documentation.
Respond promptly to service calls across the property.
Assist with installation of new HVAC equipment as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local/state codes.
Support general facilities maintenance tasks when required.
Participate in pre-season inspections and post-season winterization procedures.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of HVAC experience preferred (commercial experience a plus).
EPA Universal Certification required.
Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
Work Schedule
Seasonal position (typically April–October).
Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Overtime may be required during peak season.
