Summary of the Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all activities relared to waterpark maintenance, including preventative maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, paint, carpentry, landscape, pest control, and water quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and ensures the success of the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department
- Oversee the work order process through MAXIMO. Prioritize work order requests and distribute to appropriate Team Members/ Schedule work orders, place vendor bids ofr materials, select vendors and prepare requisitions. Estimate job costs for input into budget database.
- Work closely with Six Flags team members to eexcute projects and analyze facility needs on a regular basis
- Responsible for repair and maintenance budget, estimates, tracking, monthly budget forecast, and timely execution of projects
- Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and all Safety policies and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to waterpark safety.
- Responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner as to not affect the Guest Experience or Team Member experience.
- Responsible for preparing all required paperwork, reports and forms in a timely manner.
- Performs frequent daily site inspections of ongoing work and review of upcoming work. Check park areas frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all facility inspections are completed regularly including waterpark slides, pools and buildings.
- Conducts annual chemical safety training on chemical application.
- Assists with capital projects as assigned. Assist in the design of new projects, signage, set, etc.
- Demonstrate and continually train the Six Flags Mantra of providing Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service to each Guest.
- Ensure that Safety and Security Awareness are reinforced and practiced consistently.
- Executes any other activities as requested by General Manager or Park President.
Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Waterpark Maintenance preferred.
- A working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations.
- Certified Pool/Spa Operations preferred, but may be obtained after hiring.
- Must be available Days, Evenings, Overnights (Graveyard), Weekends, and Holidays.
- Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk for periods of time, as well as bend, squat, kneel and stoop when needed.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Ability to effectively manage seasonal work crews of varying sizes to success.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel is beneficial.
- Must possess five years prior supervisory experience in a related field.
