Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a creative and out-of-the-box thinker to lead our Entertainment & Events department! This person will be expected to manage Entertainment & Events program values including the group sales, character program, special events, festivals, Fright Fest, Holiday in the Park, and park streetmosphere.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide creativity in the development of park entertainment, including all theater productions, character meet and greets, flagpole events, festivals, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park. Oversee daily operation.
  • Work closely with Sales team to execute catered outings, group bookings, and sponsorship activations.
  • Interface with all internal departments, department contractors, and sales clientele pre- and post-event to seamlessly execute on all events.
  • Develop and maintain financial budgets and annual business plans for Entertainment & Events and prepare and present monthly forecasts as required.
  • Recruit and hire performers to ensure proper staffing levels. Source and contract all live and pre-recorded entertainment.
  • Manage Warner Brother approvals and brand/performance quality control of all venues and acts appearing in Theme and Water Park.
  • Develop, execute, and coordinate Entertainment & Events Capital Expenses, from concept through completion, on-budget and on-time.
  • Prepare, implement and monitor operational budgets for Entertainment & Events Department.
  • Manage, develop, and evaluate the performance of seasonal staff.
  • Develop and administer departmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitor department team member voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
  • Serve as liaison for outside services/show vendors and park management
  • Responsible for maintaining all park standards and enforcing all park policies and procedures.
  • Serve as Park Duty Manager as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Park leadership.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Park Manager.

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree preferred with an emphasis in Theater Arts, Events, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of (4) years of progressively responsible entertainment and events experience, including production and event management.
  • Three years management and/or supervisory experience.
  • Must have theme park, entertainment, or tourism related experience preferred.
  • Budget planning experience and with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments.
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
