R.I.P Tour Guides are the face of our most exclusive Fright Fest experiences. They lead multi-group and private family tours through haunted attractions, scare zones, and shows. Guides deliver engaging, story-driven spiels, bring the event to life, and ensure a premium, seamless experience for groups of 2 to 10 guests. This role requires strong interpersonal communication skills and familiarity with, or willingness to learn, our featured IPs including The Conjuring Universe, The Strangers: Chapters I and II, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, SAW, and Trick ‘r Treat. R.I.P Tour Guides must also have complete knowledge of all Six Flags Over Texas attractions, dining, restrooms, and other general park information.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead guests through haunted attractions, scare zones, and shows with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Fright Fest offerings, including storylines, show times, and park amenities.
- Provide exceptional guest service, promptly resolving issues and creating lasting memories.
- Assist with R.I.P Tour Lounge operations, reserved seating coordination, and guest check-ins.
- Engage guests of all ages and create meaningful connections during tours.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
The Ideal Candidate Must Possess the Following
- Availability after 5:00 PM on all Fright Fest event nights.
- Availability on weekends and weekday evenings for training starting September 3.
- Passion for and knowledge of horror and Six Flags Over Texas.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure, including when working with high-profile individuals and in fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and late nights.
- Physical ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, work in crowded environments with loud noises, flashing lights, and tight spaces, work in high places, and safely lift up to 60 pounds.
- Punctuality and a strong attendance record.
- Receptiveness to a pay rate of $14.00 per hour plus tips.
