What Does a Scare Actor Do?
Scare Actors are Character Performers that bring themed characters to life through non-verbal interaction, movement, guest engagement, and immersive entertainment experiences. Team members maintain character integrity while interacting with guests throughout the park during Fright Fest and other special events.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing as a costumed character in designated entertainment areas.
- Maintaining character integrity and guest immersion at all times.
- Following character performance standards and brand guidelines.
- Creating positive guest interactions through gestures, movement, and character performance.
- Maintaining costumes, accessories, and character appearance standards.
- Supporting guest satisfaction and overall park experience.
- Working collaboratively with entertainment supervisors and fellow performers.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety within performance spaces and backstage areas.
- Assisting with additional entertainment department assignments as needed.

Fright Fest Scare Actor Casting Call
Join us Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for our Fright Fest Scare Actor Casting Call at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Attend an open audition on either day and you may be hired the same day.
