WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the Full-Time Aquatics Supervisor at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, your role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests at our Hurricane Harbor water attractions. Leading the charge in the daily operation of our waterpark, you will oversee lifeguard performance, implement safety protocols/trainings, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. HOW YOU WILL DO IT:
- Serve as Manager on Duty to oversee the daily operations of Hurricane Harbor San Antonio, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of Guests and Team Members.
- Practice, support, maintain, and enforce a total commitment to a safety culture.
- Assist in managing all aspects of water park operations, including staffing, training, and emergency response.
- Continuously verify 100% compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and corporate aquatics policies and standards.
- Ensure total compliance with Ellis & Associates while enforcing Six Flags Corporate policies and standards.
- Build and maintain a positive, high-performance team culture that increases retention, motivation, and morale.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained within the Aquatics Department, collaborating with the scheduling team to meet daily operations and special event needs.
- Create and maintain programs related to safety, friendliness, cleanliness, and guest service.
- Coordinate and conduct training, including lifeguard certification, department orientation, slide training, on-the-job, and in-service training.
- Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance and guest services, to ensure seamless operations and a positive guest experience.
- Mentor the Aquatics team to achieve goals through positive communication, encouragement, and coaching.
- Monitor and manage departmental expenses to align with budgetary goals and make cost-effective decisions.
- Establish a culture of feedback, learning, and adaptation to continuously improve safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Operations Division and the Park’s operation as a whole.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional organizational, administrative, and public relations abilities.
- Ability to obtain or currently hold an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
- At least one year of supervisory experience with a proven track record of strong performance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage multiple projects from planning through execution and follow-up.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other essential computer applications.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and sun.
- Previous theme park experience is preferred but not required.

- May perform other duties beyond scope outlined above as necessary to support the overall operation of the park.
- Reports directly to the Director of Operations
