As an Aquatics Crew member at Hurricane Harbor, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for guests using the express lane, while also ensuring their safety by performing height checks for lifejacket eligibility. Your primary duties will include managing guest flow, verifying height requirements, and assisting guests with life jackets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Express Lane Operations:
- Greet and assist guests in the express lane, ensuring quick and seamless entry to attractions.
- Provide reliable well-informed information on the in-house express lane program and purchasing.
- Manage guest flow, ensuring that guests are entering the express lane appropriately and promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, providing directions, and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ensure guests have the necessary tickets or passes for express lane access.
- Monitor and manage guest behavior to maintain order and safety in the express lane area.
- Height Checking for Lifejackets:
- Perform height checks for guests before they are allowed to access certain water attractions requiring a lifejacket.
- Use the waterpark’s height measurement system to ensure each guest is properly sized for a lifejacket.
- Distribute lifejackets to guests and ensure they are worn correctly.
- Assist guests who may need additional support in understanding lifejacket safety and requirements.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and approachable demeanor while performing height checks and assisting guests.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with waterpark safety regulations and policies related to lifejacket usage.
- Communicate clearly with guests regarding height and safety policies.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the leadership team promptly.
- Keep track of lifejacket inventory and report any shortages or damages to leadership immediately.
- Additional Duties:
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the express lane and surrounding areas.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preferred customer service experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a waterpark environment.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented setting and contribute to a positive guest experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
