Q: What would you say you like most about your job?
Daryl: I love working on a team that’s creating lifelong memories. My favorite part of the day is seeing guests’ smiles when they get off a ride that I worked on.
Q: You mentioned teamwork. Do you feel like you’re valued for what you do and what you bring to your team?
Daryl: For sure. A memorable experience I’ve had here is that my peers nominated me for an internal award in my department. It was recognizing that I always try to make guests happy, and make my co-workers happy, each and every day.
Q: Working on rides sounds like an important job. Tell us a little more about what you do.
Daryl: Well, as Ride Mechanics, we sometimes start our day as early as 5 a.m. to make sure all attractions are thoroughly inspected before we allow guests in the park. But it’s all worth it. We know that by ensuring rides are safe, we’re playing a critical role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.
