HOW YOU WILL DO IT:



  • Oversee the maintenance of ride structures, electrical systems, and fiberglass attractions, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

  • Manage maintenance rehabilitation, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting activities to guarantee safe and efficient operation.

  • Ensure compliance with ride Back Up Procedures and document adherence to specifications.

  • Conduct regular inspections of rides and attractions, promptly addressing any hazards that may endanger guests or employees.

  • Provide training in alignment with Six Flags policies and standards to ensure competency among team members.

  • Direct, manage, and collaborate with team members to resolve ride-related issues effectively.

  • Maintain cleanliness and visual compliance of all rides according to park specifications and stakeholder expectations.

  • Serve as Department Manager on Duty and Park Manger during assigned shifts.

  • Optimize crew time, budget allocation, and rehabilitation efforts to maximize resources efficiently.

  • Provide leadership and skills development opportunities to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of new construction, architectural, and design projects.

  • Manage the work order process through MAXIMO, including prioritization, scheduling, vendor selection, and budget estimation.

  • Ensure compliance with ride manufacturer specifications and state regulations, documenting as required.

  • Monitor departmental Team Member Voice survey scores and contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement.

  • Perform any additional duties as required to support park operations.


 


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance disciplines such as mechanics and/or electrical.

  • Previous experience in ride maintenance or similar role within the entertainment or amusement park industry.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is required.

  • Physical ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75lbs, while working in all weather environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to operate various vehicles, including forklifts, golf carts, cars, and trucks.


 


OTHER NOTES:



  • Note: This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected for the Maintenance Manager. Duties may be altered or expanded as needed by the Maintenance Director or park management.

  • May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole.

  • Reports to the Maintenance Director.
